Bhutto dies, corruption continues
| |
Thursday 27 December. Following the announcement of Benazir Bhutto's death today after an attack on her election rally, we have the following comments and observations to make: 1. Muslims should not shed any tears for the tyrants and oppressors who have spent their lives looting and pillaging the wealth of the ummah whilst serving the interests of the kaafir colonialists in the West. Benazir, like Nawaz Sharif and like Musharraf showed open enmity to Islam and this Ummah. Her life was dedicated to serving the West and destroying Pakistan. 2. We wrote in October in an analysis issued by Hizb ut-Tahrir that Bhutto's deal with Musharraf was to ensure her political comeback and Musharraf's rise to presidency. However the tensions remained and it was an open secret that Musharraf resented Bhutto and her political maneuvering. 3. The death of Bhutto, however, should not be seen as a step to correct political change in Pakistan. The problem in Pakistan, as in all Muslim countries, is the absence of the Khilafah system and the presence of the system of kufr (disbelief). To change this situation requires not the removal of a leader or an opposition leader, but rather the whole system needs to be replaced with the Islamic system. Until the system changes, using the methodology of change in emulation of the Prophet (saw), we will be plagued with rulers like Musharraf and opportunists and criminals like Bhutto. |
